L’India segnala 81.466 nuovi casi confermati di Covid-19 e 469 decessi a causa della pandemia di coronavirus. Il dato sui contagi accertati nell’arco di 24 ore è il più preoccupante dallo scorso 2 ottobre, quando le autorità comunicarono 81.484 nuovi casi, come ricorda il Times of India, mentre il bilancio delle vittime è il più triste dal 6 dicembre. Dall’inizio dell’emergenza sanitaria, il gigante asiatico ha confermato un totale di 12.303.131 casi con 163.396 decessi. Lo stato di Maharashtra, dove si trova Mumbai, resta il più colpito: qui, sottolinea il giornale, si sono registrati 43.183 degli 81.466 nuovi casi, il bollettino più grave dall’inizio della pandemia. In tutto il Paese, con oltre 1,3 miliardi di persone, sono 614.696 i casi attivi.
