Leaked footage allegedly shows a regime security strategist defending mass killings during anti-government protests, according to activists

Leaked video and activist reaction – New allegations tied to Iran regime mass killing justification claims have surfaced after activists circulated a video reportedly showing regime officials discussing the killing of protesters. The footage was shared by activists including Elham Yaghoubian, founder of the Iran-Israel Nations Alliance, who posted the material on Instagram.

According to activists, the video features Hesamuddin Haerizadeh, described as a senior security strategist within the regime. In the footage, he allegedly states that the killing of tens of thousands of protesters was “necessary” to “purify” Iran from non-Muslims.

Yaghoubian, who holds dual U.S.-Iranian citizenship and collaborates with the Jerusalem Post, wrote that the video attempts to justify the mass killing of Iranian protesters, adding that officials allegedly suggested even larger death tolls could be framed as religiously justified if opponents are labeled enemies of Allah.

Security apparatus and opposition accusations

Opposition sources describe Haerizadeh as one of the regime’s main security strategists and accuse officials like him of acting as “architects of mass killings.” The controversy has intensified debate around Iran regime mass killing justification claims and the role of security leadership during protest crackdowns.

Activists also allege that some officials considered directing the Aerospace Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps to launch ballistic missiles with cluster munitions against Iranian cities under protester control. These claims have not been independently verified but have circulated widely among opposition networks.

Broader implications

The emerging Iran regime mass killing justification claims are likely to intensify international scrutiny of the Iranian government’s response to dissent. Activists continue to call for investigations into protest-related deaths and accountability for officials allegedly involved in decision-making during the unrest.
