Police confirm drone incursions on several military sites in Denmark
Drones fly over military base in Denmark, September 27, 2025 – Unidentified drones flew over Denmark’s largest military base in Karup last night, as confirmed today by the police. “I can confirm that we had an incident at around 8:15 p.m. that lasted several hours,” officer Simon Skelsjaer told AFP. “One or two drones were seen outside and above the air base. We did not shoot them down,” he said.

According to authorities, similar drones were also spotted at other Danish military sites. Police confirmed cooperation with the military to clarify the nature of the incursions. The Karup base, which houses all the Armed Forces’ helicopters and shares runways with Midtjylland Civil Airport, was briefly closed, with no impact on flights.
At the same time, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that reconnaissance drones, probably Hungarian, had violated Ukrainian airspace along the border, conducting surveillance on industrial areas. Hungarian Minister Peter Szijjarto rejected the accusations, speaking of Zelensky’s “anti-Hungarian obsession,” while Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha accused Hungary of “hypocrisy and secret operations against Ukraine.”
