The Turkish actor, known for DayDreamer and Viola come il mare, has been freed by Istanbul authorities following a narcotics investigation

Can Yaman released in Turkey – Following his detention earlier today, Turkish actor Can Yaman has been released by the Investigative Office for Smuggling, Narcotics, and Economic Crimes at the Chief Prosecutor’s Office in Istanbul, which had been leading the investigation.

According to journalist Burak Dogan of the Turkish newspaper Yeni Safak, Yaman “has been released,” and there are currently no further proceedings against him. The actor had been held in connection with an investigation into narcotics trafficking.

The case attracted significant media attention both in Turkey and internationally, given Yaman’s global popularity, particularly in Italy, where he starred in successful series such as Sandokan and Il Turco.
