Pope Francis, from Policlinico Gemelli, will appear tomorrow for a greeting and blessing at the end of the Angelus. In a new message, he thanks pilgrims from the Naples diocese for their closeness and prayers

Pope Francis, hospitalized at the Agostino Gemelli Polyclinic in Rome, is scheduled to appear tomorrow for a brief greeting and blessing at the end of the Angelus. As announced by the Vatican Press Office, the Angelus will be broadcast in written form, as has been the case in previous weeks, and Vatican Media will handle the filming and distribution of the images.

New message from Pope to pilgrims in Naples

In a new message sent from Policlinico Gemelli, the Pope wanted to thank the pilgrims from the diocese of Naples and other dioceses who were present in St. Peter’s Square for the Jubilee pilgrimage. Pope Francis expressed his affection and gratitude for the support he received during his hospitalization, emphasizing the power of unity in the Church.

The Pontiff’s words:

“Although I cannot be physically present among you, I express my great joy in knowing that you are united with me and with each other in the Lord Jesus as Church. I bless you and pray for you. And I commend you: you also continue to pray for me,” the Pope wrote, addressing the pilgrims with affection.

He added, “I greet you and your bishops on the occasion of the Diocesan Jubilee Pilgrimages you are making. In them is expressed the unity that gathers you as a community around your Pastors and the Bishop of Rome, as well as the commitment to embrace Jesus’ invitation to enter ‘through the narrow door.’”

The message concluded with a reminder of the importance of love and communion in the Church: “Love is like this: it unites and makes us grow together. That is why, although we have different paths, it has brought you here together at the tomb of Peter, from which you can depart even stronger in faith and more united in charity.”

The Pontiff stressed that he perceived the support of the spiritual closeness of the pilgrims, especially through the prayers that accompanied him during these difficult days.
