Russian president reiterates defense of the country’s interests

Russian President Vladimir Putin said in an interview with Vgtrk television that Russia is ready to normalize relations with the United States and Western countries as long as this does not compromise the interests of the Russian Federation. Putin stressed that international relations change, but Russian interests remain unchanged.

At a government meeting, Putin also threatened to respond with “many times more destruction” to attacks on Russia, referring to the Ukrainian drone strike in Kazan, which caused no casualties.
