Ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, 20 Israeli hostages still alive in the Gaza Strip to be released between Monday and Tuesday

Twenty Israeli hostages remain alive in the Gaza Strip, out of a total of 48 kidnapped by Hamas on October 7, 2023. This was confirmed by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Under the ceasefire agreement negotiated by President Donald Trump, all hostages, including those who have died, will be released between Monday and Tuesday.

The hostages still alive include soldiers, civilians, and professionals captured in various attacks, often during assaults on festivals or kibbutzim near the Gaza border. Among them are:

Matan Angrest, 22, captured aboard his tank in Nahal Oz. The other crew members were killed.

Gali and Ziv Berman, 28-year-old twins kidnapped in the Kfar Aza kibbutz, who survived an attack by Hamas commandos.

Elkana Bohbot, 36, involved in the production of the Nova Festival, kidnapped along with other participants.

Rom Braslavski, 21, head of security at the Nova festival, wounded while helping other participants.

Nimrod Cohen, 21, soldier captured near the Nahal Oz kibbutz, his unit mates died.

David and Ariel Cunio, Israeli-Argentinian brothers, kidnapped along with their extended family in the Nir Oz kibbutz.

Evyatar David and Guy Gilboa Dalal, 24, kidnapped at the Nova Festival, appeared in videos released by Hamas showing them in serious condition.

Maxim Herkin, 37, Russian-Israeli resident of Tirat Carmel, father of a young daughter, appeared in videos wounded and immobilized.

Eitan Horn, 39, kidnapped in the Nir Oz kibbutz, educator with experience in youth movements in Peru.

Segev Kalfon, 27, worked with his father in a bakery, captured at the Nova festival.

Bar Kuperstein, 23, an army doctor, saved festival participants before his abduction.

Omri Miran, 48, a Hungarian massage therapist, captured in the Nahal Oz kibbutz, appeared in a video under duress.

These people will be released as part of an exchange that also includes the release of Palestinian prisoners held in Israel. The families of the hostages are anxiously following the operations, which will take place under international supervision, with an agreement between Israel, Hamas, and external mediators to ensure compliance with the truce.
