Heavy airstrikes on residential areas cause dozens of casualties, including women, children and journalist Hassan Samour. European Hospital out of action

At least 82 Palestinians, including numerous women and children, have been killed in a series of Israeli raids in the Gaza Strip. According to Al Jazeera, at least 57 people lost their lives last night in attacks on residential areas in Khan Younis, in the south of the enclave. The Nasser Medical Complex reported an influx of casualties, many of them minors.

Also among the dead was Palestinian journalist Hassan Samour, who was killed along with several family members after an attack hit their home in Bani Suheila, east of Khan Younis.

Gaza’s Health Ministry also announced that the European Hospital is out of action following an airstrike that killed at least 16 Palestinians. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said the raid was aimed at eliminating Mohammed Sinwar, Hamas leader in Gaza. The shelling severely damaged hospital infrastructure and access routes, compromising care for cancer patients.

On the international front, U.S. President Donald Trump, on a visit to Qatar, proposed turning Gaza into a “zone of freedom” under American supervision, expressing his intention to involve the United States in the area’s future.

Meanwhile, in the West Bank, the pregnant Israeli woman who was seriously wounded in a shooting on her way to the hospital has died. Doctors at Rabin Medical Center were able to deliver the baby by emergency C-section. The Israeli army launched an extensive operation to track down those responsible, blockading the area and surrounding the village of Bruchin. Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir assured that Israel will use “all means” to find the culprits.
