U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed large-scale military action to strike strategic Houthi targets, also accusing Iran of supporting terrorists. Red Sea shipping routes under threat
The United States launched a series of massive strikes against Houthi targets in Yemen today, Saturday, March 15. Dozens of strategic positions, including radars, air defenses and missile systems, were hit with the aim of restoring security to Red Sea shipping lanes. President Donald Trump claimed the action, declaring, “I ordered it,” and accusing the previous administration of showing weakness toward terrorists. Trump also warned that further attacks on American ships or allies will not be tolerated, threatening severe repercussions.
“The Iranian-funded Houthi criminals have obstructed international shipping and put lives at risk, but time has run out for them,” Trump said, adding that Iran must immediately cease support for the Houthis. “If they do not stop their attacks, we will respond with devastating force like they have never seen,” the president concluded.
