Hamas will transfer bodies of two slain hostages to Egypt, Israel ready to release 301 prisoners

A new exchange between Israel and Hamas is on the horizon, according to a report by Channel 12. Hamas is reportedly ready to transfer the bodies of two slain hostages to Egypt, while Israel is preparing to release 301 of the 602 prisoners it was supposed to release last week. The operation could also be replicated for two more hostages killed, with the release of the additional 301 detainees expected in the first phase of the plan.

The passage through Egypt signals a change of modality from the funeral ceremony with coffins, which took place last Thursday. Israel, before starting the release of the prisoners, will proceed with the identification of the bodies to verify their authenticity.
