A line of Palestinians in front of a distribution centre was hit. Drone attack also in Lebanon: three victims
Yet another day of bloodshed in the Gaza Strip. On Tuesday 24 June, at least 21 people were killed in an Israeli attack that struck a crowd of Palestinians queuing to receive humanitarian aid. This was reported by Mahmud Basal, spokesman for the Gaza Civil Defence, adding that at least 150 people were injured. The raid hit a distribution centre at a time of peak attendance.
Images and testimonies emerging from the area describe scenes of panic and despair, with bodies lying on the ground and rescuers busy transporting the wounded from the rubble.
At the same time, another Israeli drone attack struck the town of Kfardajal, in the Nabatieh region of southern Lebanon. According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, the operation caused the deaths of three people. The area, already the subject of tensions in recent weeks, is thus back at the centre of military operations in an increasingly unstable regional context.
The situation remains critical on both fronts, while international concerns are growing about the worsening humanitarian crisis and the safety of civilians involved in the conflict.
