The Rossa will have to make up ground after a 10-place penalty. Formula 1 Constructors’ Championship victory becomes very complicated

The Formula 1 weekend in Abu Dhabi is off to an uphill start for Ferrari. Despite the best time set by Charles Leclerc in the first free practice session, the team from Maranello will face a complicated challenge to make up the 21-point deficit to McLaren and win the Constructors’ Championship. Leclerc, in fact, will be penalised 10 grid positions for replacing the battery pack on his SF-24, making the race on Sunday 8 December an even more difficult undertaking.

Behind Leclerc in practice were Lando Norris in a McLaren and Lewis Hamilton in a Mercedes. Ferrari will now have to aim for a miraculous comeback to keep their championship hopes alive.
