Julian McMahon, an Australian actor known for his iconic roles in the series Charmed, Nip/Tuck and FBI: Most Wanted, died at the age of 56 after a battle with cancer. He passed away on 2 July in Clearwater, Florida, but his death was only confirmed on Friday 4 July by his wife Kelly Paniagua, who remembered him with touching words: ‘Julian loved life, his family, his friends, his work and his fans. His deepest desire was to bring joy to as many people’s lives as possible.’
Born in Sydney on 27 July 1968, McMahon was the son of former Australian Prime Minister Sir William McMahon. After a brief modelling career, he achieved international fame with his role as the ambiguous and charming Cole Turner in ‘Charmed,’ before cementing his status by playing surgeon Christian Troy in ‘Nip/Tuck.’ In film, he also played supervillain Victor Von Doom (Doctor Doom) in the two Fantastic Four films.
In recent years, he played Agent Jess LaCroix in the series FBI: Most Wanted, which aired from 2020 to 2022.
The family has asked for respect and privacy to mourn in private.
