Jorge Martin injures his hand: he will miss the Thai GP
The MotoGP World Champion will have to undergo surgery and will be absent in the first round of the MotoGP World Championship
New injury for Jorge Martin, the reigning MotoGP world champion. The Spaniard suffered an injury to his left hand during a training session today, Monday 24 February, and will be forced to undergo surgery tomorrow morning. This episode further complicates his preparation for the first MotoGP race, scheduled for the Thai GP weekend, from which he will be absent.
Already last month, Martin had suffered a fracture in his right hand and left foot during the first round of winter testing at Sepang, which had prevented him from participating in pre-season testing. Now, the world champion will again have to recover from injury, missing the season opener. His absence will be a huge blow for the championship and for the team, which is facing a difficult situation right from the start.
