The French president announces his willingness to keep the Assembly stable until the presidential elections, promising the appointment of a new premier within 48 hours

French President Emmanuel Macron has declared that he does not intend to dissolve the National Assembly again until 2027, the year of the next presidential election.
The announcement came during a meeting at the Elysée Palace with representatives of French political forces, where he also promised to appoint a new prime minister ‘within 48 hours’. Macron had already dissolved the Assembly last June, following the results of the European elections.

According to sources close to the president, Macron took note of the shared will of the political forces to no longer depend on the Rassemblement national.
This sign of political cohesion is an attempt to guarantee more stability to the government, trying to avoid further political crises before the next presidential elections.
