The president underwent his first medical check-up since returning to the leadership of the United States. Doctor Barbadella: ‘Fully fit to perform his duties’

Donald Trump is in excellent health. This was confirmed by White House physician Sean Barbadella after the first presidential check-up conducted on Friday at Walter Reed Hospital in Washington.

‘President Trump enjoys excellent physical and cognitive health and is fully capable of performing his duties as commander-in-chief and head of state,’ reads the official medical report, made public by the White House.

The report specifies that the 78-year-old leader has ‘robust cardiac, pulmonary, and neurological function’. In July 2024, Trump underwent a colonoscopy that revealed diverticulitis and a benign polyp. As a precaution, a recheck in 2027 was recommended.

‘I’m fine’

‘I’m perfectly fine,’ Trump declared on Friday before leaving for further testing in Florida. ‘I took a cognitive test and got all the answers right,’ he added.
