Israel: missile alarm during Pesach, Ben Gurion airport closed
Alarm triggered in central Israel over missile fired from Yemen. Flights landing in Tel Aviv diverted
On the afternoon of Passover, Tel Aviv and all of central Israel were affected by a missile alert issued for a device from Yemen.
As a precautionary measure, Ben Gurion airport was closed: flights landing there were removed from the airspace above the airport.
The Israeli authorities have activated emergency procedures, while further updates on the development of the threat are awaited.
