On Thursday afternoon, an explosion inside an explosives factory in Javalí Viejo, in the capital of Murcia, injured six people, one of them in serious condition. The incident occurred at around 16:30, but the cause of the explosion is still unknown.
Firefighters from the Fire Extinguishing and Rescue Service of the Murcia Municipality arrived at the scene and worked tirelessly to extinguish the flames, while environmental officers assisted in the operations.
The authorities are still investigating the cause of the explosion and the dynamics of the incident, while the injured were transported to hospital to receive the necessary treatment.
