Student opens fire in the canteen, then attempts suicide

Moments of terror at Antioch High School in Nashville, where a student opened fire inside the school cafeteria, wounding three people, including himself. After the attack, the young man pointed the gun at himself, trying to take his own life, but was injured. Local sources reported this.

The school district authorities assured that ‘the attacker no longer poses a threat’, confirming that the institution, which houses about 2,000 students, has been put on lockdown to ensure safety.

The police stated that the three wounded included the attacker himself, without, however, providing further details on their state of health. According to the New York Post, a witness reported that the attacker shot himself in the head in front of his daughter’s eyes.
