A Meganálisis survey shows overwhelming support for the opposition leader and a near-total rejection of any transitional role for the chavista figure
María Corina Machado dominates Venezuela poll results, emerging as the clear favourite in a hypothetical presidential vote, while Delcy Rodríguez is overwhelmingly rejected as a possible figure for a political transition after Nicolás Maduro.
According to a survey conducted by the Venezuelan polling institute Meganálisis and reported by independent media outlets in the country, 93.5% of respondents express a negative opinion of Delcy Rodríguez, a senior figure of the chavista establishment who currently holds the role of interim president. The data indicate a near-total lack of public trust in Rodríguez as a potential guide for a post-Maduro phase.
By contrast, 78.3% of those surveyed say they would vote today for María Corina Machado, confirming her position as the leading figure of the opposition and the strongest political alternative to chavismo. The numbers reflect a deep and widening gap between the ruling elite and public opinion, as well as a consolidation of support around Machado’s leadership.
The survey highlights a broader political trend in Venezuela: the rejection of continuity figures linked to the current power structure and the demand for a clear break with the past. In this context, María Corina Machado dominates Venezuela poll data not only as an electoral frontrunner but also as the central reference point for voters seeking change.
The findings underscore the growing isolation of chavista leaders in the public sphere and reinforce Machado’s role as the main contender in any future electoral scenario, should conditions allow for a competitive vote.
