
Plane crash in California: 15 injured when an aircraft crashes in Fullerton VIDEO
A small tourist plane crashed into a commercial building, causing a fire and the evacuation of more than 100 people
This afternoon, near the municipal airport in Fullerton, California, a small touring plane crashed into a commercial warehouse, injuring 15 people. The crash, reported by the Los Angeles Times, caused a fire that required the intervention of several fire crews.
The crash occurred on Raymer Avenue around 2pm local time, about half a mile from the airport. The affected building was evacuated, with more than 100 people evacuated to safety, explained Kristy Wells, spokesperson for the Fullerton Police Department. Injured people were treated on site.
Images released by ABC7 show a thick column of black smoke rising from the crash site. At the moment, the cause of the crash is not yet known.
