The Princess of Wales updates on her condition after cancer treatment and visits the hospital that cared for her
Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, announced with relief that she is in remission from cancer. In a message on social media, she shared an update on her state of health after visiting the Royal Marsden in Chelsea, the hospital that followed her cancer treatments. ‘I remain focused on recovery,’ she said, talking about adjusting to a ‘new normal’ after her diagnosis and treatments. The princess expressed gratitude for the support she received and reiterated her commitment to her new role as Joint Patron of the hospital, alongside Prince William.
Kate described the road to recovery as a complex challenge, sharing a message of solidarity with patients still undergoing treatment: ‘It’s really hard to get back to normal after treatment, but there is light at the end of the tunnel’. The princess also confided her desire to do more for those who are facing difficult times related to the disease.
After finishing chemotherapy in September 2024, Kate has gradually returned to attending public events, a positive sign of her health. Today, her first official visit of 2025 to the hospital was an opportunity to confirm: ‘It is a relief to now be in remission.
