After eight years of legal battle, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have finally signed a divorce agreement. The news, which was anticipated by ‘People’ magazine and confirmed by the international media, brings to an end one of Hollywood’s most closely watched divorces. However, the details of the agreement have not been made public. Jolie’s lawyer James Simon said that the actress had filed for divorce more than eight years ago, and that since then she has focused on the welfare of her children and finding peace for her family.
The emotional impact for Angelina Jolie
According to Jolie’s lawyer, the actress is relieved that this stage of the lengthy process is over, although she admitted to being exhausted. The separation between Pitt and Jolie was not only emotionally turbulent, but also legally complicated.
