Israeli army will maintain presence at five strategic locations to ensure security. , Minister Katz: “The IdF will act against any threat.”

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz urged Hezbollah to withdraw completely from southern Lebanon, reiterating that Israeli forces will act “forcefully” against any violation of the ceasefire agreement. Katz confirmed that the IdF will remain in five strategic positions along the border to ensure the security of the region, while Israeli troops will withdraw from other areas, as stipulated under the agreement.

“As of today, the IdF will remain in a buffer zone in Lebanon at five strategic outposts and will continue to act forcefully and uncompromisingly against any violation by Hezbollah,” Katz said. The minister also stressed that Hezbollah must withdraw completely beyond the Litani River line, a prerequisite for stability and security in the region.

Israeli forces have left population centers in southern Lebanon, but have maintained control over these five crucial points amid growing tension with Hezbollah. Katz warned that any provocation by the Lebanese armed group will be met with determination.
