On Monday 20 January, Giorgia Meloni will be in Washington to attend President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration ceremony. According to official sources, the Italian premier will attend along with numerous foreign leaders invited for the event, marking the tycoon’s second term in the White House.
Among the most important confirmations are that of Argentine President Javier Milei, Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele and Ecuador’s President Daniel Noboa. For China, Vice-President Han Zheng will be present, while British Reform Party leader Nigel Farage is among the prominent guests.
Rally with Musk and international stars
On the eve of the inauguration, on Sunday 19 January, a big rally will be held at the Capital One Arena in Washington. Elon Musk, vice-president-elect JD Vance, advisor Stephen Miller and Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff will take the stage. Among the most anticipated moments will be speeches by members of the Trump family and special guests such as former wrestler Hulk Hogan and UFC president Dana White.
There will be no shortage of musical performances: the Village People, who are back in the limelight thanks to their use of ‘Y.M.C.A.’ as Trump’s rally anthem, will perform live.
