US markets closed down with heavy losses on the Nasdaq, Dow Jones and S&P 500. Tesla plunges 15 per cent, wiping out Trump-era gains

Wall Street’s black Monday ended with heavy losses on all major indices. The Nasdaq gave 4%, while the Dow Jones closed down 2.18% and the S&P 500 lost 2.7%.

Among the hardest hit companies was Tesla, which plummeted 15%, wiping out the roughly $700 billion in gains since Donald Trump’s election.

The day’s trading reflects the nervousness of the markets, which are concerned about global economic trends and the increasing volatility in the technology sector.
