A young American woman was arrested in Paris for allegedly throwing her newborn son out of a hotel window

French police have arrested a young American woman accused of throwing her newborn son out the window, causing his death. The dramatic incident occurred in a Paris hotel, and the case is currently being investigated as the murder of a child under the age of 15.

French authorities are investigating the possibility that the woman suffered from a condition known as ‘pregnancy denial’, in which a person remains unaware or in a state of denial of her pregnancy until the moment of delivery.

According to the Paris prosecutor, the newborn baby was thrown from the second floor window of a hotel on Monday morning. Despite the prompt intervention of rescuers, the baby died shortly after being transported to hospital. The young woman, who was travelling through Europe with a group of young people from the US, was taken to hospital to receive medical treatment and later placed in custody.
