No telegram of good wishes from the Russian president to leaders of the US, UK and other countries considered hostile to Russia
For the third year in a row, Vladimir Putin has chosen not to send end-of-year greetings to Joe Biden and leaders of other major Western countries considered hostile. The news, reported by the Russian news agency Tass, points out that the Russian president, as usual, sent telegrams of New Year and Christmas greetings to numerous foreign colleagues, but not to the leaders of the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Japan, and other states with which diplomatic relations have severely deteriorated due to the conflict in Ukraine.
The Kremlin published the official list of recipients of the greetings, confirming the exclusion of leaders of Western countries considered enemies of Russia. This symbolic gesture reflects the growing tension between Moscow and the West, exacerbated by international sanctions and Western support for Ukraine.
