Shooting Mormon church Michigan – Today, Sunday, September 28, a shooting at a Mormon church in Michigan left several people injured in Grand Blanc, Genesee County, a suburb of Flint about 50 miles from Detroit. According to CNN, the religious building is on fire.

Local police reported that the attacker has been “neutralized” and no longer poses a threat, without specifying whether he was killed or arrested. Residents have been asked to stay away from the area, while firefighters and law enforcement are working to extinguish the fire and secure the area.
County Sheriff Christopher Swanson confirmed that all those present had been evacuated and that there were “several people affected,” without providing details on their condition. The victims were rescued and transferred to nearby hospitals.
Michigan Republican Congressman John James commented on X, calling the incident “a great evil” on a Sunday of prayer and expressing his sympathy for the victims, their families, and the local community.
