Gaza, 376.000 displaced Palestinians return to north
Ocha reports the return of thousands of Palestinians to their homes in northern Gaza after Israeli forces withdrew from some strategic areas
More than 376,000 Palestinians displaced by the conflict between Israel and Hamas have returned to northern Gaza. This was reported by the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (Ocha).
‘More than 376,000 people are estimated to have returned to their places of origin in northern Gaza, following the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the two main roads along the Netzarim corridor,’ the humanitarian body specified.
Despite the return, the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip remains critical, with damaged infrastructure and essential services compromised. The UN continues to closely monitor developments in the region, urging international assistance for affected civilians.
