Drones spotted in the skies of six US states. Trump and Biden at the centre of speculation about the nature of the sightings
The mystery of drones continues to agitate the US public. For days now, numerous sightings have been reported in the skies over at least six US states, including New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Ohio. Despite much speculation, the situation remains shrouded in uncertainty, and authorities are keeping the matter confidential.
President-elect Donald Trump, speaking on the matter, said that the answers exist, but are being kept under wraps. ‘The government knows what’s going on, our armed forces know where they started and where they went. President Joe Biden knows, the military knows, but for some reason they don’t want to comment,’ Trump told reporters. ‘I don’t think it’s enemies, but something strange is going on.’
Despite reassurance from the Department of Homeland Security, which stressed that ‘there is no evidence linking the drone sightings to a national security threat’, the mystery remains. The FBI also confirmed that investigations are ongoing, but so far no evidence has been found linking these drones to a foreign country.
The sightings, which began on 18 November, have raised concerns, and many citizens continue to seek clarification from the authorities. Despite reassuring statements, the absence of detailed explanations fuels speculation, creating a climate of uncertainty.
The Secretary of Homeland Security, interviewed by ABC, tried to reassure the Americans by stating that ‘we are following it up’, but without providing further details. In the meantime, the origin and purpose of these drones remain unknown, pending more clarity from the authorities.
