Explosions controlled by police in the heart of London, street closed to traffic.

A bomb threat has rocked Regent Street, one of the main shopping streets in central London. The street was immediately closed to traffic, and authorities asked employees and passers-by to evacuate surrounding offices and shops. According to reports in the Mirror, the police proceeded with ‘controlled explosions’ to handle the emergency. No further details on the cause of the alarm or the possible presence of ordnance have yet been given.
