Saudi Taleb.A accused of throwing his car into a crowd at a Christmas market in Germany, killing 2 people and injuring at least 80 others
According to reports in the Wall Street Journal, the suspect in Friday night’s attack on a Christmas market in Magdeburg is a Saudi known for his anti-Islam stances and his support for Afd, Germany’s far-right anti-immigrant party. The man, identified by Der Spiegel as Taleb.A, ran a website and social channels where he criticized Islam and discussed women’s rights, denouncing female persecution in the Middle East.
The activist had also shared pro-Israel content after the Oct. 7 attacks and accused the German government of promoting the Islamization of the country. In the days before the attack, he had said he was being persecuted by authorities because of his views and warned potential refugees to avoid Germany because of its “tolerance” for radical Islam.
