Dr Alaa al-Najjar’s home hit: only survivor among the children is an 11-year-old boy, wounded along with his father

Tragedy in Khan Younis, in the south of the Gaza Strip, where an Israeli raid hit the home of Dr. Alaa al-Najjar, killing nine of her ten children. This was reported by the BBC, citing sources at Nasser Hospital, where the woman works.

The surviving 11-year-old son was seriously injured, as was his father, who was hit in the explosion. A video released by the Gaza Ministry of Health – controlled by Hamas – and verified by the British broadcaster, shows the burnt bodies of the children pulled from the rubble of the house.

According to the director of the local Ministry of Health, Muneer Alboursh, the bombing took place minutes after the doctor’s husband had returned home after driving her to work. The oldest of the children killed was 12 years old.
