The Trump administration continues its attack on Zelensky, suggesting his exile to France, and it does so by delivering these destabilizing broadsides to the U.S. media like real bombshells and using its acolytes, chief among them Musk

The Trump administration’s offensive against Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky continues. According to reports in the New York Post, the Ukrainian president has fewer and fewer supporters in the White House, with some members of Trump’s entourage even suggesting that Zelensky should leave Ukraine and move into exile in France. According to these sources, the deterioration of relations between Trump and Zelensky risks weakening Kiev’s position in peace talks with Russia.

Tensions between the two leaders have been evident for months, and a source inside the White House said the deterioration in relations is not a surprise. The idea of new elections in Ukraine and alternative leadership for the country had been circulating for some time, so much so that he advised that “the best solution for Zelensky and the world is for him to go to France immediately.”

Of course, there is no shortage of attacks from Elon Musk either, like a script that is repeated time after time and the actors are always the same. In a post on ‘X,’ he accused Ukrainian President Zelensky of being ”a dictator” and further also claimed that he is the head of ”a giant and disgusting corruption machine that feeds on the corpses of Ukrainian soldiers” who fell in the war with Russia. “He is aware that he could lose overwhelmingly” at the polls ”despite having control of all the media” and ”that’s why he canceled the elections.” According to the head of Tesla and Space X as well as Donald Trump’s squire, ”the truth is that the people of Ukraine despise” Zelenskyj.

Zelensky rejects U.S. proposals: tension continues

The crossfire against Zelensky is now constant. The Ukrainian president is guilty of rejecting a U.S. proposal to give up 50 percent of Ukraine’s rare earths, key strategic resources. In response, Trump labeled Zelensky a “dictator,” while the latter accused the U.S. leader of living in a “space of disinformation.” Despite the differences, Zelensky said Kiev is ready to negotiate with the United States for an agreement on the exploitation of mineral resources, especially after the end of the conflict with Russia.

China and its role in the Ukrainian crisis

On the diplomatic front, China emerges as an active player in the political resolution of the Ukrainian crisis. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said during a G20 meeting in Johannesburg that Beijing is ready to play a constructive role in resolving the conflict. In a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Wang Yi stressed that relations between China and Russia are evolving into a new dimension. The two ministers will meet soon in Moscow to discuss further diplomatic steps.

Europe and support for Ukraine according to Scholz

Meanwhile, in Europe, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz reiterated the need to support Ukraine even after an eventual ceasefire. In an interview with ZDF, Scholz admitted that the end of hostilities is still far off, but stressed the importance of ensuring that Kiev is not left alone. The chancellor opened to the possibility of international troop involvement in Ukraine if a ceasefire is reached, while specifying that it remains to be seen whether this will actually be necessary.
