The 26-year-old arrested in Pennsylvania faces five counts, including second-degree murder

Luigi Mangione, 26, was officially indicted for second-degree murder for the killing of Brian Thompson, CEO of the executive branch of UnitedHealthcare, last week in New York. According to New York criminal court documents, Mangione is also charged with possession of a firearm and falsifying documents, for a total of five counts.

The arrest occurred yesterday in Altoona, Pennsylvania, after a report from a McDonald’s employee who recognised Mangione and contacted 911. Police reported that the suspect ‘started shaking’ when asked if he had been in New York recently, raising suspicions about his involvement in the case.
