Elon Musk Remains the World’s Richest Person with 9 Billion Fortune

Forbes 2026 billionaires ranking highlights record gains for Musk and a surge in global wealth

Elon Musk has solidified his position as the world’s richest individual, with a net worth of $839 billion, up from $342 billion a year ago, according to the latest Forbes billionaires list released today. Musk, the principal shareholder of Tesla, SpaceX, and the social media platform X, continues to dominate the global wealth rankings.

Following Musk, the second and third positions are occupied by Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin, with net worths of $257 billion and $237 billion, respectively. Amazon founder Jeff Bezos ranks fourth with $224 billion, while Meta and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg is fifth at $222 billion.

Other notable entries in the top ten include Larry Ellison (Oracle) with $190 billion, French billionaire Bernard Arnault and family at $171 billion, Jensen Huang (Nvidia) at $154 billion, Warren Buffett (Berkshire Hathaway) with $149 billion, and Spanish fashion magnate Amancio Ortega (Zara) at $148 billion.

The 2026 Forbes ranking reveals that the number of billionaires worldwide has grown to 3,428, an increase of 400 compared to last year. Collectively, these billionaires hold a total net worth of $20.1 trillion, up from $16.1 trillion the previous year.

The list also notes a significant rise in U.S. President Donald Trump’s wealth. Trump ranks 645th globally, with a net worth of $6.5 billion, reflecting a 27% increase primarily driven by cryptocurrency investments.
