The US president announces new and attacks that he is attacking too: ‘If you negotiate, you sell out America’. Pharmaceutical companies also in crosshairs

Donald Trump’s new tariffs the President of the United States is not backing the show. During a dinner with Republican members of Congress, he celebrated the event in defiant tones: ‘Countries are calling us to kiss my thatside. They’re dying to make a deal,’ he said, using the phrase “kissing my that” that has sparked and enthised the audience.

The new tariffs, above 10 per cent, are aimed at a wide range of business partners. ‘Every leader in the world picked up the phone to ask me: please, let’s make a deal. I will do anything,’ Trump continued, emphasising the strong position of the US.

There was no shortage of domestic criticism: the president even attacked some members of his own party. ‘They think Congress should be the one to negotiate. But you don’t know how to do it like I do. If Congress takes over, you sell out America and go down the drain,’ he said.

Then, the announcement of the next move: Trump also intends to impose tariffs on US pharmaceutical companies that manufacture abroad. ‘Soon we will announce major tariffs. We are a big market, and that is our advantage. Companies will leave China and other countries,’ he said, reiterating his desire to bring production back to US soil.
