Protests by university students in Iran expand from universities in Tehran to Isfahan amid opposition to repression and economic hardship.

The protests by university students in Iran are expanding across the country, with demonstrations starting on university campuses and spreading into public squares. According to local media reports, students have taken to the streets in the capital Tehran and in the central city of Isfahan.

Iran’s Ilna news agency reported that the protests by university students in Iran have involved several major universities in Tehran, including Beheshti University, Khajeh Nasir University, Sharif University, Amir Kabir University, the University of Science and Culture, the Iran University of Science and Technology, as well as the University of Technology of Isfahan. Videos shared on social media show students marching and chanting slogans as protests moved beyond campus grounds.

The Iran International account documented student demonstrations at multiple universities in Tehran. At Sharif University, students were heard chanting, “Neither Gaza nor Lebanon, my life for Iran,” signaling opposition to government priorities and foreign policy.

In Isfahan, students at the University of Technology chanted, “An Iranian may die, but will not accept humiliation,” linking the protests by university students in Iran to broader public anger over economic hardship and political repression.
