Benjamin Netanyahu Denies Death Rumors in Video
Israeli Prime Minister addresses online speculation, confirms he is healthy and continues to work for the state’s security
Online rumors have circulated over the past few days claiming that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had been killed by a missile launched from Iran. Netanyahu himself addressed the speculation in a video shared on his X profile.
“People say I’m dead? They say I’m sick? They say all sorts of things… Look at me: I’m here, alive and well, drinking a coffee and feeling great,” Netanyahu said in the video while sitting in a café.
He added, “Rumors remain rumors; facts are facts. I continue to work hard for the State of Israel and the security of its citizens.”
The Prime Minister concluded by thanking viewers for their concern, saying, “Thanks to everyone for the worry… but I’m doing very well,” and showed his left hand, demonstrating it was completely normal.
The rumors had gained traction after a video from a recent press conference sparked debate online. Some users speculated that the footage might have been generated or altered by artificial intelligence, citing what they thought was a “sixth finger” on Netanyahu’s hand. In his café video, Netanyahu clearly shows that he has five fingers, dispelling the claims.
