
Yemen, US attack on migrant centre in Saada: 68 dead
Houthi rebels denounce US attack on a facility for African migrants in the north of the country.
According to Houthi rebel media, a US raid hit a detention centre for migrants in the city of Saada, a Houthi stronghold in northern Yemen. The provisional toll is 68 dead and 47 wounded. “Civil Defence and Red Crescent teams are continuing their efforts at the scene of the US crime,” Al-Massirah channel reported.
Meanwhile, the US military admitted to carrying out more than 800 attacks in Yemen in one month
Israel, accusations against Unrwa: “It participated in the 7 October attack”.
Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar accused Unrwa, the UN agency for Palestinian refugees, of employing terrorists involved in the 7 October attack. “The UN has become a corrupt and anti-Israeli body,” Sa’ar said during a press conference, stressing that Israel had decided not to participate in the ongoing UN International Court of Justice hearings on Israeli actions in Gaza.
Iran, explosion in the port of Bandar Abbas: 46 dead and over a thousand injured
The death toll from the powerful explosion that took place on Saturday in the port of Shahid Rajaee, near Bandar Abbas in southern Iran, has risen to 46. Most of the injured have been released, but 138 people remain hospitalised. The explosion, heard tens of kilometres away, affected a strategic junction for the Iranian economy located on the Strait of Hormuz.
At the same time, Iran announced that it had foiled one of the largest cyber attacks ever recorded against its infrastructure by taking preventive measures to protect its national systems.
