The 26-year-old protester in Fardis, near Tehran, regains freedom following rumors of execution that were later denied by Iranian authorities

Erfan Soltani, the 26-year-old protester detained in Fardis, near Tehran, amid recent anti-regime demonstrations, has been released on bail, according to his attorney, Amir Mousakhani.

In the days prior to his release, rumors had circulated claiming Soltani was executed following a death sentence, a report later denied by Iranian judicial authorities. Mousakhani confirmed that Soltani “was released yesterday and received all his personal belongings, including his phone.” The bail was reportedly set at approximately €12,000.

The release of Soltani marks a significant development in the ongoing wave of protests against the Iranian regime, which in recent days has resulted in numerous arrests and reports of violent actions by security forces. Human rights observers continue to monitor the situation closely, as the protests reflect mounting discontent among citizens challenging government policies.
