Trump announces his presence at Pope Francis’ funeral
The US president will be at the Vatican with Melania, after a day of uncertainty
Despite initial security-related reservations, US President Donald Trump has confirmed that he will attend Pope Francis’ funeral. The news came directly from the social Truth, where the tycoon announced his presence at the Vatican together with his wife Melania.
The decision came at the end of an uncertain day, during which sources close to the White House had let it be known that Trump would not take part in the ceremony, due to fears about his safety, after two assassination attempts were made on his life. However, Trump has decided that he will be present with his wife Melania.
Pope Francis, born Jorge Mario Bergoglio, passed away today at the age of 88. Only yesterday he had greeted the faithful in St. Peter’s Square by imparting the Urbi et Orbi blessing and riding through the parvis in the Popemobile.payment on receipt of this pro forma invoice
