King Charles to meet Trump in US during April visit. Buckingham Palace has confirmed that the British monarch and Queen Camilla will travel to the United States at the end of April, where they are scheduled to meet US President Donald Trump.
According to the Palace, the visit is intended to “celebrate historic ties and modern bilateral relations” between the two countries, as part of events marking the 250th anniversary of American independence.
Details of the US itinerary have not yet been disclosed. The BBC reports that King Charles is expected to visit Washington, with a state dinner planned at the White House and a speech to be delivered before Congress.
On the return journey to London, the King is also expected to stop in Bermuda, a British Overseas Territory in the North Atlantic, according to the BBC.
