Palestinian sources confirm no to Israel’s proposed ceasefire. Meanwhile, Hamas announces the disappearance of the link with the hijackers of Israeli-American Idan Alexander after IDF attack
According to BBC reports, citing a senior Palestinian source, Hamas has rejected Israel’s latest proposal for a six-week ceasefire, which included the release of ten live hostages and the return of the bodies of sixteen others.
At the same time, Hamas declared that it had lost contact with the group responsible for the kidnapping of Idan Alexander, a hostage with dual Israeli and US citizenship. The loss of communication reportedly occurred following an attack by Israeli armed forces in the Gaza Strip.
Furthermore, the military spokesman of the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, Abu Obeida, announced an ‘important announcement’ to be published shortly via the movement’s official Telegram channel. The already tense situation is further complicated as international efforts to reach a lasting truce continue.
