Vatican confirms progress in Holy Father’s health, who continues medical treatment with no imminent resignation. Oxygen therapy and physiotherapy continue, but tomorrow’s Angelus will not be read
Pope Francis is going through a gradual but steady recovery phase. The latest update from the Holy See, today Saturday, March 15, confirms that the Pontiff will not be discharged from the hospital anytime soon. The Holy Father continues to undergo medical treatment, which is yielding encouraging results.
Respiratory therapy underway
The Pope is undergoing high-flow oxygen therapy treatment, which allows him to gradually reduce the need for mechanical ventilation during the night hours. This approach helps the Pontiff’s lungs work more naturally, reducing the load during recovery.
In addition to respiratory therapy, Pope Francis is also undergoing motor physiotherapy. The combination of the two therapies is bringing improvements, albeit gradual, in his overall condition.
No Angelus for Sunday, March 16
As has been the case for the past five weeks, the Pope will not read the Angelus tomorrow, Sunday, March 16. The next medical bulletin on the Pontiff’s condition is expected between Tuesday and Wednesday, and may provide further details on his recovery.
