Gal Gadot reveals emergency surgery during pregnancy: removal of blood clot in brain
The ‘Wonder Woman’ actress recounts her experience to raise awareness of a critical condition she faced in her eighth month of pregnancy
Gal Gadot, the famous ‘Wonder Woman’ performer, has revealed that she underwent emergency surgery during her eighth month of pregnancy due to a dangerous blood clot in her brain. The star shared her story on social media, with the intention of raising awareness of a critical condition that is often overlooked.
It all started with a persistent headache that forced her to stay in bed: ‘Only after an MRI did I discover the real problem. It made me realise how quickly everything can change,’ said the actress, emphasising the seriousness of the diagnosis.
Accompanied by her husband to the hospital, Gal Gadot gave birth to her third daughter, Ori, at a time of great fear and uncertainty. ‘The name Ori means ‘my light’, and she has been my light at the end of the tunnel,’ explained the now fully recovered actress.
Gadot expressed deep gratitude to the doctors who assisted her and addressed an important message to her followers: ‘Listening to your body is vital. Even small signs such as pain or slight changes can hide serious situations and save lives’.
