Service disruptions on X (formerly Twitter): global outage on the evening of 30 May

Reports from around the world: the social network is not allowing access to messages. This is the third incident this month

X, the social network formerly known as Twitter, experienced another blackout this evening, 30 May 2025. Numerous users reported being unable to view messages or access the platform normally.

The Downdetector website, which monitors online service anomalies in real time, recorded a surge in reports from several countries, confirming the global nature of the disruption. The malfunction therefore does not only affect the Italian version, but involves a large number of users internationally.

This is the third such incident in May. On those occasions, too, the problems were resolved within a few hours, with no official communication from the platform about the cause of the failures. At the moment, no official statement has been issued by the X team.
