Hamas said according to Turkey’s Anadolu news agency that the bodies of Shiri Bibas and his two sons, Kfir and Ariel, will be returned according to the agreement, but PM Netanyahu does not confirm and urges to avoid releasing names of the bodies that will return to Jewish territory

Hamas’ chief negotiator in Gaza, Khalil al Hayya, said Thursday the bodies of Shiri Bibas and his two sons, Kfir and Ariel, will be handed over to Israel among the four that will be returned. The news was released by Turkey’s Anadolu news agency, which reported the Hamas leader’s statements.

PM Netanyahu did not confirm and rather urged the media to avoid mentioning the names of the bodies that will return to Jewish territory until there is official confirmation. Yarden Bibas, husband of Shiri Bibas and father of Kfir and Ariel was freed by Hamas in recent days and until then it was not known what had happened to his family members.

Israeli authorities await forensic identification, although Hamas has already released some names

Hamas has announced some names of bodies that are expected to be returned Thursday, but Israeli authorities have decided to wait for identification by their forensic teams to confirm the identity of the remains. Israeli media are also refraining from publishing the names released by Hamas until there is official confirmation, avoiding speculation and possible miscommunication.
