Arab League: ‘Moving Palestinians out of Gaza is unacceptable’
Secretary General Ahmed Aboul Gheit rejects Trump’s plan to relocate Gaza residents, calling it unacceptable to the Arab world
Moving Palestinians from their territories in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank is ‘unacceptable’, Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Aboul Gheit said on Wednesday. During the World Governments Summit in Dubai, Gheit strongly rejected Donald Trump’s plan to relocate Gaza residents, calling this proposal unacceptable to the Arab world, which has fought this idea for more than a century.
‘It is unacceptable to the Arab world, which has fought this idea for 100 years,’ Gheit said, responding to a question about the US president’s plan. The Arab League, representing numerous Arab countries, has long supported the right of the Palestinians to live in their historical territories without being forcibly displaced.
